Best digital marketing bootcamps to learn digital marketing skills

Digital marketing is a constantly evolving field, with tools and techniques updating every year. While more traditional university courses may struggle to keep pace, bootcamps can offer a more hands-on learning experience with a practical, up-to-date curriculum. 

However, not all bootcamps are created equal. With so many bootcamps available, finding a reputable program can be tricky. In addition, students have to worry about the major time commitment and cost that comes along with the course. Therefore, the search can be stressful. To help get you started, we’ve put together a list of some of the best digital marketing bootcamps so you can  find out which one is the right fit to teach you marketing skills and launch your career.

Best digital marketing bootcamps

1. General Assembly

One of the most well known bootcamps today is General Assembly. They offer full-time, part-time, and 1-day courses on a variety of subjects, including digital marketing. Their immersive digital marketing course covers content marketing, paid search, social media, analytics, media planning, and even client best practices. At the moment, this digital marketing course is not currently available in-person for students in the United States. However, they still offer a part-time online option.  This online bootcamp costs $3,9500. 2. GrowthX Academy

The online bootcamp GrowthX Academy offers courses for aspiring digital marketers. Their curriculum teaches students about identifying target audiences, paid & organic acquisitions, analytics, partnerships, competitive strategy, conversion rate optimization, and much more. Moreover, the course is self-paced and lasts about 8 weeks. Students participate in daily live sessions, 1-on-1 mentor check-in calls, videos, quizzes, and hands-on assignments. Tuition is $1,750.

3. BrainStation

BrainStation is another popular bootcamp that offers a hands-on digital marketing course. While students can usually learn online or in person at their campuses in New York City, Toronto, and Vancouver, all courses are currently remote due to Covid-19. Their full-time online program lasts about 12 weeks and costs $15,000. But, they also offer 3 part-time digital marketing courses for about $3,250.

Students in the full-time bootcamp work hands-on with in-demand marketing tools like Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Hootsuite, and more. In addition, the curriculum covers search engine content development, content management, social media tactics, and more. Students build polished portfolio projects, participate in professional development, and get access to over a thousand hiring partners including top companies like Google, Facebook, and Microsoft.

4. ClickMinded

Built by a former SEO manager at Airbnb and PayPal, ClickMinded is an online bootcamp that offers 7 different digital marketing courses. Students can buy their complete bundle bootcamp for $1,997 or buy individual courses for $997. These are focused on specific marketing topics like paid advertising, content, email, and social media marketing, sales funnels, Google Analytics, and SOP library. Each course is self-paced and contains about 3-6 hours of marketing content. But, students get lifetime access to their courses, regular updates to the content, and even a formal certificate once they pass their final exam. Moreover, the program offers free resources like a blog, strategy guides, tips to increase traffic/sales, and even a free introductory course.

5. Tradecraft

Students seeking an intense, practical marketing bootcamp can check out Tradecraft. This 12-week San Francisco bootcamp teaches people the skills they need to land a job at a high-growth startup. Students in their growth marketing track learn about experimentation, research, acquisition, activation, retention, copywriting, and more. Every week is unique. However, the program is extremely intense and can require 60+ hours of work per week. In addition to lectures and assignments, students work on real-world marketing projects for companies in Silicon Valley. Career coaches also work 1-on-1 with students and continue to help until they land a marketing job. Students optimize their Linkedin profiles, write compelling resumes, build their portfolios, prepare for interviews, and much more. Full bootcamp tuition is $14,000. 

6. Bootcamp Digital

Bootcamp Digital is a digital marketing bootcamp with both in-person and online courses. They cover topics like social media marketing, SEO, paid advertising, content marketing, email marketing, sales funnels, Google Analytics, personal branding, and much more. Online certification classes are self-paced with 40+ hours of content. They cost $997 each. But, students retain access to the content for a year, including access to weekly mentoring and Q&A sessions. Short individual courses are also available on more specific topics. They last 4+ hours with over 40 training videos each. Individual training courses cost $97-$397, but students can pay $97 per month to get access to them all.

Short in-person live bootcamps are also available. These intense, fast paced courses only last about 4 days but grant grads an accredited marketing certificate. Students learn through hands-on exercises, lectures, and demos while getting lots of personalized support in a small cohort. While live training is currently remote due to Covid, they plan to resume teaching in major cities like San Francisco, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Miami sometime in 2021. 

7. Udacity

The online learning platform Udacity offers free and paid digital marketing courses covering content strategy, social media marketing, display advertising, Google Analytics, and more. While many free or low-cost marketing courses are available, their nanodegree programs take on an intense bootcamp style. Nanodegree students meet 1-on-1 with both a technical mentor and a career coach as they build polished portfolio projects. On average, the program takes about 3 months to complete. 8. edX

Another remote program, edX is a massive online learning platform with marketing classes from top universities like Harvard and MIT as well as big tech companies like Microsoft. While many of their marketing courses are self-paced and may not resemble the traditional bootcamp format, students participate in lectures, assignments, and get a formal certificate upon graduation. Many courses are free, but students have to pay $150 to actually get a certificate.
